Hi Iya Eko's, hope you are all doing well. I am doing fantastic and SPRING is treating me just fine.
Today, it's all about Rompers and Jumpsuits made with Ankara. Every fashion lover has one in their closet. Well, I have more than one because they are easy to dress up and also to dress down. I love them.
The Jumpsuits have been dated way back to 1919. Did you know that Iya Eko's ?
The jumpsuit was first launched as a subversive and liberating garment during the Futuristic period. Its T shape was cut from one piece of cotton or AFRICAN canvas.
They were first made for use by military and Sky divers.
The ROMPER however has a different path from the JUMPSUITS as they were first worn by babies and young children.
Fast forward to now, the rompers and jumpsuits have become fashion items that keep showing up season after season. They are especially perfect for Spring/Summer.
In this post, I will share with you some gorgeous rompers and jumpsuits. Happy Viewing.
MONO STRAP & EXAGGERATED SLEEVES
I consider this styles a modern way of making jumpsuits. Fun, fashionable and unique.
MODERN MEETS TRADITIONAL
I love a taste of home in my looks. When I say a taste of home, I mean mixing a classic piece(blazer, leather jacket) with prints whether Ankara or any other fabric.
This is a fun way of taking the jumpsuits and romper to another level of fabulousness. Adding a statement necklace to an ensemble is one of my favourite things in fashion. Adding a statement necklace to jumpsuits and rompers is just as chic.
WORK OR PLAY
For red carpet interviews or for fun photo-shots, the romper or jumpsuits is just as fabulous.
The 70's trend are back again this season. A flared jumpsuit is the easiet way to jump on the 70's wagon. Isn't it so cute?
