Iya Ekos, how is the going? My Edo sisters, how body? I would have loved to write this whole blog in pidgin but for the sake of my readers from all around the world who do not understand us (we-we), I will stick with English. Me sef dey or I am doing fine and so excited about my post today talking about the Edo bride.
The one thing that is significant to the Edo bride is the use of the coral BEADS.
The Edo brides wear beads as their head gear/hat. They also wear them as the blouse and finally, they wear them on their waist , wrist and on their ankles.
For the Edo bride, it is all about the beads. In short, the Edo bridal look is always bead fortified.
Are you getting married soon or you are just always fascinated by the use of coral beads? Here's a one of a kind look book for the Edo bride. Enjoy !
The first two photos in this look book are that of the Asemota twins. Aren't they gorgeous. Neither of them are married. They are bubbly and full of life. The former picture is that of Isoken or verygoodbadgirl as popularly known on Instagram and the later picture is that of her twin sister, she is a plus size model.
There you have it my Edo Iya Ekos. I hope you find my selection helpful in deciding your own bead style for your big day.
Please feel free to tag your photos with #iyaeko on Instagram, I will be more than happy to see them.
